Mira Daugherty
My name is Mira Shannon Daugherty and I have lived in Kentucky for 20 years. I may have been born and raised in Southern California, but my roots run deep here in central Kentucky. My mother was born in Crab Orchard. I spent my life visiting Kentucky, so 20 years ago I decided to make it my home. The single best decision I ever made was moving here.
Kentucky has been good to me. In December of 2002 my 10-year-old daughter and I drove across the country. What a wild ride, that was!! I graduated with my associate degree from Eastern Kentucky University, started my career as a registered nurse and got married in 2006. That was a very big year for me! I earned my bachelor’s degree in 2009 and went on to earn my master’s degree in December of 2017. I served this community for 12 years as a registered nurse and as a primary care nurse practitioner for two years prior to the pandemic. I am proud to have served during the COVID pandemic in New York and again in Danville. Nursing during a pandemic is eye opening! I am grateful to have loved on many that lost their life during that time.
In October of 2021 I met someone who inspired and encouraged me to start my own business, so I did! I do crazy stuff sometimes!! I am learning a lot about business as I go but I certainly love that I get to continue serving this community, that I call home. You may see me and Remi (my poodle) running the roads, keep your eyes out for us. She is a frequent visitor to the studio and loves making new friends! I have built a life that I love with my supportive husband, beautiful children and crazy grandchildren!!
